Butterflies created using recycled materials
Lisa Kokin is my first artist which i am inspired by.
She expresses herself through images and layers of meaning through the incorporation of found objects such as phrases, maps, buttons, pictures and other fabrics. Her pieces are all about memory and history
I am inspired by her because she uses found objects as her material and how she incorporates found, old objects into contemporary styles and old styles. She uses many different techniques, like sewing and hanging buttons on string. I like how her work is like a puzzle because you can see the individual buttons and you can see the whole image together.
This is what i would like to explore.
The theme I have chosen to explore is, Recycled Art. I have chosen this as my theme because I like the memory and history behind recycled objects, antique and old objects. I also love how every bead, button and material/object you use is unique and different, but when they are put together they create one big piece, but are still unique objects
I want to explore everything! i want to try everything, sculpture, colleague, drawing and mixed media

Josh Robbins..inspiration
The title of my project is ‘rust and decay’, i decided to explore the beauty of it. The idea came to me when I looked at the book ‘beauty in decay’. My inspiration came from the rusted pictures I found inside the book. The artists that I liked were, Rosalie Gascoigne, the book ‘beauty in decay’ and a group I found on the Internet called, ‘Xtreme Xploration’. From these artists I found different rusted objects and places where I could find them. The artists influenced me by showing me that rust and decay can be beautiful and antique. I experimented at the start by looking at different surfaces like; barb wire and cardboard, I also tested different colours on a piece of paper. I then started sketching some of the images I had found which was a different technique for me. In the end I had so many ideas and I managed somehow to cram them into one main idea. That one main idea was photography, taking pictures of dusted objects. I love that I chose photography because it brought out what I wanted people to see. I want to thank my mum for driving me around to take pictures. I am so happy with my final 5 prints. They are beautiful and capture what I want people to see. That there is beauty in decay
